Ocean Export Operations Specialist

Job Description

• Prepare quotations, review customer profiles and rate structures
• Support sales Department with customer information, rates, etc.
• Visit customers whenever required to improve communication and service
• Monitor proper filing and updating of all departmental records, i.e. tariffs, placing booking, SI  , etc.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers and providers, as required, to enable cost-effective transportation services
• Assist with Manager for daily issues

Job Requirements

• College degree in a related field / CIFFA CERTIFICATE or equivalent is an asset
• Experience in Freight Forwarding or Shipping industry is a big plus
• Experience in dealing with customer service
• Advanced knowledge of computer literacy, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Fluent English
•  Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese/Spanish is a big plus
